SOME SUGGEST THE LIVER IS A CULPRIT

I read  there is a vessel connecting the umbilical area to the liver.
Have other diabetics had irritation in the umbilical part of the stomach?

My first diagnosis of diabetes was at age 5.  I was placed in Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, Queens, New York.  During my 6 weeks there (in those days, that was the time spent for diagnosis and treatment) , my ,mother would bring q-tips when she visited to clean out my navel area because I couldn't stop bothering it.  It wasn't until I read that article regarding liver and diabetes that I remembered that.

Our liver is the organ that processes glycogen and glucose products and it set me to thinking.  I'm planning to do some research regarding this connection.

Of course there's research going on regarding the thyroid as ell.  and of course...............intestinal and diabetes.  There's evidence that some people who are diabetics and undergo bypasses for losing weight suddenly stop being diabetics once the procedure has been done.  Apparently it's the removal of a certain portion of the intestine that triggers it.

Interesting!?!
